I got Alicia Paulson's book Stitched in Time. It has so many great ideas. I got new fabric that I think will look great in our house. I am not sure if I want to make pillows or a table runner. I just saw it and fell in love. I love all the possibilities a yard of fabric has!

Crafty

I've made a grand total of 6 Trick or Treat bags! I am pretty happy with the results each bag gets better and better! I have one finally bag to make by Saturday for my nephew. I also started a bag for my sister from a cut and sew pattern. I am really loving sewing especially at night when everyone is asleep.

Pumpkin patch

We went to the pumpkin patch last week during an October heat wave. It was difficult to get in the Halloween spirit when its 90 out! Because of the heat we have yet to carve our Pumpkins.

bag o rama

I have started the Trick or Treat bags and they are a great project for me! The bags help me practice basic sewing skills so that's awesome and I see instant results. oliverands.com has a great free pattern and I am going to try sewing the lazy days skirt. It's for "absolute beginners"!

Fabric

I love going to fabric stores! Since I am such a beginner I didn't want to break the bank so I got some cute but cheap fabric. I am hoping to turn this fabric into trick or treat bags for the boys.

Dora and Boots...

For some reason today my 2 year old has been calling me Dora. He of course is Boots.I've been going along with it. However we raised a few eye brows at the park.

So happy fall is here! Not that I live in a place where there are seasons (fire season count?) but its fun to get ready for Halloween! Last Halloween was all about Star wars...what will this year be?
